What you'll do

You will meet with a local person (with a lot of samba on feet), the Projeto Samba na Feira, overlooking the beautiful 'Bay of All Saints' and 'Itaparica Island'. Always on Sundays, they are samba root shows, very lively, with little knowledge of tourists and full of local people. I assure you, no one can stand without dancing

Where you'll be

The São Joaquim Fair is the largest fair in the city of Salvador, Bahia. Founded in the 1960s, after the destruction of the old Children's Water Fair in 1966, devoured by fire, São Joaquim harbors inumerous informal workers descended from enslaved Africans, being the main distributor of clay crafts, alguidáres, couscous, pots produced in the Bahian recôncavo and sale of products for candomblé rituals.
