What we’ll do

Preparing clay using the ox’s head method. Learning to centre the clay on the wheel. Throwing off the hump, creating three pots from one piece of clay. I will finish the pots for you by turning the base, bisque firing, glazing and refiring to stoneware temperature. You can visit the gallery which is right next door to the studio where there is a small English library.

What else you should know

Pottery needs to be fired and glazed which can take up to a month. You can make arrangements to have your work delivered if you are unable to pick it up.

Where you'll be

Our farm stands on a hillside in the south west of France with a full view of the pyrenees on a good day. The barn has been converted into a large studio space which has 6 potter’s wheels, an electric, gas and Raku kiln. We opened the gallery in 2016 which showcases the work of 15 local artists and potters.
