What you'll do
I'll pick you up at 10 am and we'll drive along the World Heritage-listed agave fields, where photo opportunities abound! Our first distillery is inside a beautiful hacienda, that delivers a unique blend of ancient tradition and modern technology. You'll start by touring the modern tequila factory, where a jimador will show you how the outer layers of the plant are shaved-off to reveal the heart of the agave. If you enjoy your tequila chased with a little history, you’ll love the 1870’s distillery that follows. As expected, our visit ends with an enticing tequila tasting. We’ll also visit one of the artisanal distilleries, where surprises can include grasshopper snacks, underground tastings or face-to-face encounters with the producers. The next stop is Tequila’s main square, where you’ll have time to explore the town, enjoy lunch or indulge in an extra tequila tasting. On our way back to Guadalajara, we’ll stop at the infamous Cantaritos, where the tequila flows all day and night. You’ll be back by 8 pm, having been converted from casual tequila drinker into tequila aficionado. Let me know if your desired date is not available and I'll make it happen.

I was born and raised in Jalisco, the birthplace of tequila. As long as I can remember, tequila has been part of every celebration, it is part of every Mexican’s heritage and I really enjoy sharing its secrets with my guests. While some tours stick to the most famous distilleries, others choose to explore the booming artisanal scene. I personally believe neither can be missed and have tailored a full-on experience that will show you a unique side of this fascinating region and its world renowned spirit.
