What you'll do

Discover permaculture and agroecology on our urban farm. Through a tour of our farm, you will familiarize yourself with the principles of permaculture and understand concretely its application. Different techniques will be presented to you on how to have a living soil, to save water, to compost, to limit waste in everyday life and to preserve biodiversity. You will understand how to apply it in your garden and even your balcony. We will show you different solutions on different scales built from pallets and other recycled materials. You will have the opportunity to taste some farm products such as micro-greens, vegetables and even wild edible plants. A drink from some local producers (juice, beer or wine) will be offered to you to enjoy the view over the garden under our cute wooden hut.

Learn more about David

David

With a background of agricultural engineer, I left the corporate world of food industries 5 years ago to study and train in permaculture. For that, I traveled for more than a year to the four corners of the cradle of permaculture: Australia. Back in France, I founded with three friends, the first collaborative urban farm in permaculture of Montpellier: Oasis Citadine. The purpose of this place is to teach permaculture and agroecology to city dwellers while offering them a setting in which they can learn, enjoy nature and share the fruits of their efforts.

About the organisation

Oasis Citadine

Oasis Citadine is Montpellier's first urban collaborative farm in permaculture. Our values are to take care of the Earth, take care of humans and share equally the surplus of our abundant ecosystem. It is a unique place, located between the vineyards and the castle of Flaugergues, where city dwellers can come to learn how to cultivate, relax and enjoy this little paradise of biodiversity.

This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to Oasis Citadine.

What's included
