What you'll do

This is the Airbnb experience with the longest navigation time in the Delta of Tigre.
We will navigate in the host’s 18-ft-long boat powered by a 115-HP outboard motor, through wide rivers and narrow creeks where traditional tours do not reach.
Depending on weather conditions, we will navigate between 2 and 3 hours, enjoying free snacks and non-alcoholic beverages on board. Guests may also bring their own snacks and beverages. You will relax and have fun in a safe environment.
Both at naked eye and in detail with the help of an on-board binocular, you will be able to spot indigenous animals and birds, plants, flowers and trees.
During the warm months, you will be able to get a refreshing bath in the Delta’s rivers and creeks.
This Experience can also be carried out during the afternoon hours, as the guest prefers.
If you wish, you can also visit a typical Delta bar, where the host will help you while you eat or drink at the bar and walk its sourroundings.
If in the day reserved for the Experience it rains or there is bad weather that prevents to perform the tour, the Experience can be re-programmed according to guests and host possibilities or the guests can get their money back, at guests choice.

I am in love with the Parana Delta, which I been traveling around for the last 40 years, making me an expert about it. I want to share my passion for the Delta with travelers who enjoy outdoor life in contact with mother Nature. My family has always stand by me with this passion, and my son Martin will assist us in this Experience. Besides Spanish, I can communicate with the guests fluently in English, French, Italian and Portuguese. My professional training is in engineering. I live in Buenos Aires City and also have a typical pile-dwelling wooden house in the Delta, where I spend lots of time.

Where you'll be

This is the Airbnb experience with the longest navigation time in the Delta of Tigre.
We will navigate in a totally safe environment through the Parana River Delta’s rivers and creeks, located just 30 minutes by car from downtown Buenos Aires. You will know small creeks lined with trees, flowers and bamboo canes, and the famous Parana River with its 1,500-ft width. This Experience can also be carried out in the afternoon, if guests so prefer. We will navigate at different speeds, from “man step” in the narrowest creeks to 13 miles/hour in wide rivers like the Parana.

If you come to Buenos Aires, **DO NOT MISS OUT** on visiting the Tigre with Enrique. The Tigre delta is a simply magical natural system of creeks and rivers that provide a relaxing and extremely memorable adventure for travelers -- the wildlife, waterways and homes are one-of-a-kind and simply breath-taking. Enrique is a caring and expert host - from the start, he is a very strong communicator, making sure pick-up instructions are crystal clear. On pick-up: Enrique ensures to securely pick up & transfer his guests from Buenos Aires *by car* and takes everyone directly to his boat. Once in Tigre, Enrique is an expert navigator and historian. He can enter many more creeks and small areas than other tour boats (IMPT as these little inlets are the most magical areas, really). Don't miss the boat's front seat - simply amazing! As a host, Enrique went above and beyond to support his guests, even during the legitimately traumatic experience of a certain scary virus hitting Argentina. In the midst of total travel chaos, Enrique was a thoughtful and helpful guide to help us all return not just from his experience, but from Argentina, safely. A truly kind and amazing host!! Se lo agradezco mucho, Enrique!

Enrique is a touring treasure, a retired engineer and 40-year veteran of the magical delta region. Don’t miss his deep personal knowledge of the history, ecology and geography of this enchanting area—so close to BA yet worlds away. The perfect break from city sight-seeing, and urban adventure of the first order!

I have been in Buenos Aires for two weeks. Enrique is the nicest person I have met here. He was kind, thoughtful, friendly, helpful, and a total delight. Enrique did everything in his power to make our river experience absolutely wonderful, and he succeeded. If I could think of anything better to write, I’d write it. If you are considering a river tour, and you want a fabulous experience Enrique is unquestionably your best choice.

This was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Argentina. I loved getting out on the river and seeing the community that lives on the delta. Enrique is also incredibly friendly and can tell you a lot about the area. He speaks great English. Also, he takes care of everything--he picks you up where you're staying, he drives you, he stops by pastries. Definitely do this!

This was a great experience and I had a much better time than I would've on the larger tour boats. Enrique picked me up from where I was staying and we drove to the marina (about a 30 minute drive). There we got on his boat (think speed boat, can fit up to 8 people) and we set off cruising around the delta. Enrique was very knowledgeable and was able to offer great insights about the area. We had a small lunch over some great conversation on his boat, then we headed back to the marina. Enrique also dropped me off where I was staying at the end of it. Overall, I had an amazing time with Enrique and it was one of the best memories of Buenos Aires.
