What you'll do

You will be received at my home and given a cup of Pure Filter coffee. You will then be helped get dressed in the local south Indian traditional attire, ‘The Silk Saree’ for the Ladies and ‘The Veshti’ for the Gentlemen. I will take you to the Famous “Dhenupureeswarar temple” ,5 minutes away by tuk-tuk. It is an ancient temple built in 973AD by King Sundara Chola. This monument has been declared to be of National importance by the Archaeological Survey of India. The temple timings are from evening 5to 8:30pm. You will get to see the Main deity up close and witness the traditional Deeparthanai(Fire prayer). A tour around the temple to show the architecture, practices, story, other deities and the way to worship like a Hindu. The trip can finish off with seeing the local flower stalls, having tender coconut, a local snack and then get back home to change into your own dress. This is just 45 minutes away from the Chennai International airport.
