Hello everyone! My name is Basheir! I have been giving professional bicycle tours of New York City almost daily for the past five years. I love interacting with tourists and locals alike to show them all that this downtown area has to offer. I work with a team of amazing and passionate tour guides so if I'm not there, it will be either Nicole, Lisa, Katie or Annie, who are all local to New York and have given hundreds of tours of the city throughout the years. We want you to feel as if you know the history and fun facts of this Lower Manhattan & Hudson River Waterfront area in and out by the end of this tour!

First of all, I thought I would be meeting Annie as the host for the bike tour; instead, it was a nice Gentlemen from California (where I am from)-since I’ve been communicating with her for 10 days before the event. Also, she recommended that I changed my dates from Friday to Saturday because I was a solo party & suggested it’d be more enjoyable with a group. So I did. Then I got a message a few days later that Friday’s event was canceled due to bad weather and had the option to reschedule for Saturday or Sunday. I thought it was weird because I’m already scheduled for Saturday, plus the weather on Saturday was forecasted worse than Friday. I was perplexed. On Friday, I contacted Annie again because I was concerned about the bad weather on Saturday & she insisted it would be fine to ride still. Then she offered an alternative to rent a bike all day for Friday. Looking back I should have taken it, but I trusted the host to know her business. I still had my reservations, but I had to have confidence the host knew better-this is her event & she lives in NYC. Saturday was raining pretty badly; I didn't receive a weather alert, so I proceeded to the meetup location. This was when I met the actual host. I was somewhat disappointed because I was expecting to see Annie. Also, I was the only person that showed up. I didn't intend to cancel, but he told me it would be a very miserable three hours riding in the rain, and I probably wouldn't enjoy it. I didn't go to NYC to be miserable, so I took the expert's advice. I contacted Annie and told her what happened, and she couldn't give me a refund because she said that she couldn't control the weather. I thought it was funny because they canceled Friday's trip because of bad weather, and it wasn't even as bad as Saturday's, but they didn't attempt to cancel it? Then she offered me future credit for this tour. That trip was my first time visiting NYC, and I most likely won't be going back. It was frustrating communicating with her because I realized that this "Annie" person is probably a couple of different people. After all, every time I communicated with her, it felt like I had to give them my back story over again and constantly repeated my timelines-very annoying. Maybe if they were upfront and mentioned they were not "Annie," but an answering service and another person would be on-ground hosting, I would have been more forgiving. She said, "see you next week... see you tomorrow", who wouldn't think it wasn't her? Then when the actual host told me that the company is based in D.C, I was dumbfounded! Here, I am following instructions from the "proclaimed" subject matter expert in NYC, but they are just answering the phone from D.C. What a waste of one day in NYC.

The bike tour of the city was in my opinion THE BEST way to see the city. We went through small and big lanes, learned about the city's history, and saw some incredible views. Richard is a great tour guide.

Fabulous way to see the city and get an insight into neighbourhoods. Debra was our host and she was extremely knowledgeable about film and pointed out various important locations to us. She was very patient with us wanting to stop for photos and snack breaks too.

Debra was an exceptional guide. Despite bitterly cold weather and threat of rain we saw a side of NYC that we would not have seen otherwise. Debra was knowledgeable, thoughtful and was able to personalize the tour for us I would definitely recommend this as a unique and wonderful experience
