What you'll do

Delhi's green lung is a sprawling, less explored, city forest area in New Delhi. It is spread over an area of 783 acres. It is one of the most thickly wooded areas of the city's green lungs and is home to several species of birds and wildlife. We shall be stopping by at the viewing tower that offers a 360 degrees view of the lush green expanse. Witness some spectacular aerial views of the green canopy

The forest is brimming with herbs and medicinal plants that are often used in our ancient Indian Ayurveda medicine. Learn interesting details about some of them as we navigate the trail.

We shall explore the ruins of the Lal Kot wall that dates back to 731 AD and enjoy the refreshing views of the famous Qutub Minar, Adham Khan's Tomb and the green canopy of the vast forest.

Thereafter we make our way to the adjoining Mehrauli village that was a part of the ancient walled city. Explore the lanes of the busy bazaar and taste some freshly cooked, delicious local fare that is a hallmark of Delhi's famous street food.

The walk combines nature, culture and heritage and gives you a unique perspective to the city of New Delhi

We've been to Delhi too many times to count, and we thought we'd seen it all! But then we found this, and we realized there is still soooo much more to explore in Delhi. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for something unique or is a nature lover. You'll be able to look at Delhi in a whole new way :)

This was my first airbnb experience and it was a highlight of my time in Delhi. Though I'd been to Delhi several times, I had no idea this place existed. I wouldn't have been comfortable walking through a large park on my own, but Sujata provided guidance, company, and wonderful insight into the nature, history and animals we encountered. I loved the combination of nature, exercise, spending time with a friendly local, and then she throws in a perfect ending of the opportunity to try some local visit and to visit a historical highlight. A really enjoyable experience.

A wonderful magical experience Please if you do nothing else but the touristy haunts in Dehli , DO THIS EXPERIENCE ! Sujita is a thoroughly informed guide with a wealth of knowledge and a great personality to match. She is a fountain of knowledge and has a great sense of humour (& is super intelligent) , but her down to earth and passionate approach make everything very accessible- it is a magical early morning tour and the combination of pollution and fog made it wondrous. Plus we saw a lot of animals in their habitat ( boar , neel deer , peacocks and lots of birds ). For me , a must do if you want to experience Dehli on a different level !! Thank you thank you Sujita 🙏🙏🙏
