What you'll do
Guided tours for tourists are often a trap - a sneaky trap of long walks, bored guides, information overkill and this uncomfortable, cliché tourist feeling. Not so here!
I will lead you in a small group alongside some well-known tourist attractions, but without losing touch with the colorful daily life of the city. I want to share with you the beauty of Munich, but outside the post-card epicenter. I will show you Munich as a history expert and enthusiast, but without boring you with details.
In this 2h tour - with many opportunities to share your opinions and experiences and to ask questions - we will learn a lot about the footprints of the Nazi regime and World War II in Munich and how the city and the country are dealing with this past. But we will also learn about Bavarian and German history before the rise of the Nazi regime, and in particular how Napoleon has shaped the destiny of the country.
At the end of the tour you will still be confused - but on a much higher level.
Other things to note
The duration of the tour sometimes depends on the size of the group and the amount of questions - so maybe count in +/- 15-20 minutes.
Feel free to ask me about a private or unscheduled tour.
Natürlich biete ich die Tour auch auf Deutsch an ;)

Where you'll be
We will walk from Odeonsplatz to Platz der Opfer des Nationalsozialismus to Karolinenplatz, where I will show you the highest basketball hoop on the planet. From Königsplatz you can either stop at a local beer hall and enjoy some Bavarian delicacies or take the tram back to the city center (Karlsplatz/Stachus or Max-Joseph-Platz).

My friend and I both have European history degrees and obviously, you can't study that without spending a lot of time studying Germany. It was great to walk around with Igor because he explained to us the places we learned about in the university from a very unique perspective...as someone who lives in all of these great historical places. We found the trip very enjoyable and even though it was raining, we stuck it out and still had a great time. While my friend and I got a lot out of it, so did my girlfriend and his teenage daughter. Igor made it great for everyone...highly recommended.

Can not recommend this tour enough . We learnt so much in just a few hours with Igor. He has a deep understanding of the history and culture of this amazing city and was happy for us to pick his brain with all of our questions. Thank you so much, you really made our visit to Munich special. The beer was also delicious!
