What you'll do

Our easy paced 7km urban run will be mainly focused on the beautiful coastline of the Sliema peninsula. Our sea side sections are a fun mix of paved promenade, small gardens and gorgeous rocky beaches. We'll also explore a couple of charming backstreets, little known alleyways and secluded waterfront view points which remain unknown even to most locals.

We are in no rush to complete our jog and will be moving at a pace comfortable for the slowest member of the group. We are happy to walk during any sections you may find challenging and we'll also have ample time to stop to take photos (plenty of stunning spots!).

While you don't need to be super fit to join in, out of respect for your fellow runners and as a guideline, we kindly ask that you are at least able to maintain a slow 3-4km jog.

Where you'll be

We will spend much of our time absorbing the sea views which make our little Mediterranean island so popular. Sliema is a melting pot of nationalities and its bustling streets, extensive coastline and relics of old provide the perfect location for a fun urban run.

I very rarely write reviews but I was compelled to take the time to write one for this event. I have been lacking in motivation with exercise but running with Dave has changed that completely. Firstly, his communication was excellent; both before and after the run. His route was great and has beautiful views of the ocean as we wound around the coastline, and very well-planned to involve different options depending on our abilities. He took the time to speak with us individually, gave me some great advice and suggestions on training and clothing and he seems to have knowledge of many other runs and treks more off the beaten track for anyone more adventurous than me. However what struck me the most was that Dave was so genuine and checked in with me regularly; I felt supported throughout the run and he was always moving between us to make sure that nobody was struggling. He was very positive and encouraging towards all the members of the group and I left feeling more than just invigorated from the run but uplifted and motivated to create a running routine going forward. I found the event so much more than just a run; I learned about races and events and the other runners in the group were very friendly and approachable. I feel very grateful to have come across Dave as finding a running guide that is both extremely knowledgeable about sport and with a kind and nurturing personality is very rare to find. If you are new to walking or running and would like a friendly companion, would like to join with other runners, learn more about the running community in Malta or are visiting the island and are looking for someone to guide you through some of the more hidden running routes; I can't recommend Dave enough..he is absolutely a 5 star running guide.

Cancellation policy

Any experience can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase, or at least 7 days before the experience starts.

More tips

Our jog should take anywhere between 45-60 minutes, depending on the size and pace of the group. Please note that a short section will be over rocky, uneven ground. We will go ahead rain or shine!

What to bring

Comfortable running shoes.

Comfortable clothes appropriate for exercise and the current weather. If you would rather not run with a bottle of water, you can buy one along the way.
