Where you'll be

The places that we will visit many times to the visitors feel sorry or think that there is a charge to enter. When there is someone reliable who knows the area is easier and more confident. We visit the cafeteria where they give free samples of the most popular chocolate. In the market they are given a test of some fruits. In the house concept they are also given proof of some products like homemade jams or sauces

Having never been to SMA my husband and I decided to start our trip with Marimar’s walking tour. It was a great introduction to the main sites of the city and we were able to get a sense of the layout that has helped us get around since. She showed us many useful sites (from the best coffee and chocolate to the pharmacy and clean public restrooms) and took us inside some beautiful buildings we likely wouldn’t have walked into. She is very knowledgeable about the history of SMA and Mexico. After the tour she even followed up with emails or help us enjoy our stay. Marimar is charming and bursting with energy and her love for this region is infectious. I highly recommend her tour!

Marimar was very warm and engaging. She shared a lot of history related to old and new architecture in San Miguel de Allende (SMA). She had a strong grasp of the English language and communicated with ease. We were impressed by her overall knowledge of the area and her description of how things used to be in SMA and how the city has been transformed over the years. She really knew the city, its history and culture. I highly recommend her as a tour guide. She was very friendly..Awesome experience!

What an outstanding tour. It is our second day here and it was a great orientation. Our wonderful guide, Marimar, is so knowledgeable. She brought some pictures to use to further illustrate some of the information that she was sharing with us and also showed us numerous short videos on her phone to give us an idea of what the parades and celebrations would be like that are coming up while we are still here in SMA. We crossed paths with tours where the leader was shouting into a megaphone; Marimar could not have been more different. Throughout the tour she pointed out places of potential interest to us and remembered also to tell us when we were near places (for example, the handicraft market, Aurora, etc.) that we had asked her about. She has my unqualified recommendation. I could not have been more pleased.

We had a great tour! we went to places I had not experienced on my last tour with an expat who gives tours each day to raise money for the needy children of San Miguel. Well worth the money and everything went well. Loved the chocolate tasting!
