What you'll do

We will start with a walk through the historic center of Trinidad, where we will learn about history, culture and traditions, as we move between old mansions and alleys plagued by a colonial atmosphere. We will visit other places of interest such as temples of African religion, churches, galleries and museums.
We will know the hotel The Caves located on a hill, where we will visit a royal cavern, known as La Maravillosa, which in addition to an unparalleled natural and archaeological beauty, treasures a beautiful love story that will be revealed. There we can rest a few minutes to take photos and coffee. Then we will enter the Loma de la Vigía, knowing at every step, stories and legends locked in another natural cave on the slopes of this hill, while enjoying a fresh and healthy environment and exercising our body. Upon reaching our destination, we can enjoy an splendid panorama, the most beautiful views of the city and the Ancon Peninsula. We can also enjoy a unique and charming sunset from this point, where you will fall in love with my city.

I am an enthusiast young, I studied at the Carlos Rafael Rodríguez University in Cienfuegos and graduated as Industrial Engineer. When I was a child, I used to visit Trinidad on my vacations because my family is native to this city, and a few years ago I fulfilled my dream of living here. I am a sociable person and talkative. I love meeting new friends and together, walking the streets of my city enjoying its architectural and historical wealth and exploring the wonderful natural places, which offer us several options for healthy enjoyment.

Enjoyed visiting the cave and learning more about the history and traditions of Trinidad. Kenia was real nice and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the points of interest. This tour was great but could benefit from a little more engaging and interacting.

Kenia is one of the sweetest people I have had the pleasure of meeting in Cuba. She made changes to her schedule to accommodate my tour with her on a Wednesday, my first evening in Trinidad. However, since I was traveling from Viñales, I got extremely late and Kenia was already waiting for me by the time I reached my casa. I managed to contact her and she offered to shift the schedule to the next day but I insistedwe could start even if a little late. The meeting point is straight forward and we walked the couple of squares first before we thought of heading out on the hike. Ten minutes into the experience, big fat rain drops started falling from the sky. Kenia was prepared with an umbrella but it was not possible to walk with all the water on cobbled streets she we rushed into the nearest bar we should find. Here, I got to have a great conversation with Kenia and while she was really sad that we wouldn't be able to do the hike with the slush, I assured her it was absolutely okay and I undeestand the weather obligations. She was happy to schedule the hike just for me again and that juts shows how committed she is to making sure each one has the best experience. However, we decided to play it by the ear and spent the evening talking and I learnt so much about Trinidad. We shared a drink and once the rain reduced, she took me around the main places of Trinidad square, giving me tips, sharing her wealth of knowledge. As we saw that the sun was about to set, we raced to the top of the Convento to get a view of the entire town against the setting sun and gosh, was I not disappointed. While taking in the view from atop, I realized how exhilarating the entire experience was and it felt like care free evenings that you spend with a friend. Kenia made me feel that comfortable and welcome and I am grateful for all her advice. Book this experience because Kenia will ensure that you have the best time!
