What you'll do
Over a 3 day period you will get to know Alpaca's in intimidate detail. Play with them, learn their behaviours and how to care for them. Stay in close proximity to overlooking their paddock in a comfortable 1950's 'Red Rattler' Train or Shepherds hut. You will stay on a 50 acre, solar powered off-grid farm in a beautiful valley forgotten by time and without mobile reception. During your stay we tell you everything you know and also get you involved in as many daily farm tasks as you'd like. Depending on the time of year we plant or harvest: Pine Trees (Christmas Trees), Garlic, Tomatoes, Pomegranate, Blueberries, Pumpkin, Bean's, Corn, Oranges, Finger Limes, Nectarines, Peaches and Sunflowers. You will dine on local food from the farm or close proximity.

We are registered full-time Alpaca breeders with the Australian Alpaca Association wanting to share out knowledge of Alpaca breeding, raising and care. For the last 7 years we have breed between 20 and 40 huacaya and suri alpacas a year with an emphasis on their 'nature' and fleece quality for the hobby and breeder market. We partner with local spinners and knitters to make garments and have also made duvets and pillows. Our journey started 7 years ago after working overseas and living overseas. This tree change has taught us an amazing amount, particularly in this valley about off-grid self sufficiency.
