What you'll do

Get to know the birds of the Tagus Estuary in a charming experience. Depart from Lisbon on a Zodiac RIB and meet the secret bird hotspots. Make the most of this experience using all your senses and get to know the details of the Tagus Estuary Natural Reserve as well as the Natura 2000 Special Protection Zones along this wide wetland, where you can find resident bird species, wintering, migratory breeders or simply passing migratory. The best time to observe Birds is from September to May, when some species arrive and leave others, but the ornithologist specialist can give more detailed information on the migration phenomena in this important wetland in the Iberian Peninsula. Before arriving back to Lisbon, pass next to the Commerce Square, a welcoming city centre.

Sidonio

Graduated in Marine Biology and Master's in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation, since 2008 I have been working in nautical & nature tourism. Experienced in marine conservation projects with sea turtles, deep-sea sharks, fisheries and other nature conservation initiatives. Besides being a navigator, I am a cetacean and birdwatching lover, well related and fluent in 5 languages. These skills made me deepen the concept of Nature Tourism, which is adapted to our tours, allowing you to enjoy the Tagus Estuary in search for esquizite migratory bird species all year. I will make sure you enjoy!
