What you'll do

We will explore the pastures and farms just outside of Asheville where you will have more intimate experiences with locals than the traditional downtown tourist spots. First I will take you to Looking Glass Creamery where you can sample a variety of local handmade cheese, pet the goats, and purchase local beer, wine and even locally made crackers. We will then take our snacks up to the Eastern Continental Divide where we will hike a short but steep trail to a rocky outcropping where we can look over the Fairview Valley and over to Asheville. I will point out several prominent peaks from this vantage point. We will then cruise by Gladys Knights house (yes! She lives in Fairview!) and go to a little off the beaten path brewery owned by a Venezuelan ornithologist. We can throw some cornhole, sip craft beer and hang by the fire to wrap up our afternoon.
