What you'll do
Meeting place is at my hostel, which is 5 min. from Zurich Main Station (Zurich HB) by walk. We will adjust the bike and helmets so that you are comfortable with the equipment. We ride together up to the Uetliberg, Top of Zurich (869m) which is a 8km ride and takes us about 40 minutes (ascending from 402m). On top we will enjoy the view over the city and climb the view tower, have some drinks and bouillon soup. We then start the trail. On the 3.5 km long track you descend about 350 meters and overcome on the way technical root passages and wallrides. The ride is from entry level up to the pros. Even if you are doing this it for the first time as long as you adopt your speed to your skills you will be fine. You will surely have a blast and an incredible memory. The trail has been continuously upgraded since it opened in 2010 and got many new features and a redesign in 2018. In my view it's a unique outdoor sports activity, which very few metropoles offer. The trial is promoted and co-developed by the city council of Zurich.
I have been biking ever since. Usually I do long distance biking and my longest trip so far has been from Portugal to India, via Africa and middle east on the 2 years trip. Since 2017 I have been biking constantly around Europe, so I assume I can show you quite a bit about biking. This trip offers good training, a stunning view on Zurich from the top and then a breathtaking downhill through a well developed slope.
