About your host

G'day, my name is David, but my friends call me 'Kangaroo Jack'. Why? Well for starters I work at the zoo, so I'm always around cuddly animals, however what is even more unique is I literally have a pet kangaroo... What? Are you serious? Absolutely, her name is Jo & she is AMAZING! Having grown up on the Victorian Surf Coast, I have a ton of knowledge of the local area, indigenous culture, native…

What we’ll do

Would you like to experience the Great Ocean Road with a difference & be taken to places only the locals know about? Are you seeking an authentic Australian Adventure with a local wildlife expert, that can get you extraordinarily close up with native wildlife not possible at any zoo? Want to have a culturally rich experience & be immersed into the Australian indigenous culture of the traditional…

What else you should know

Kangaroo, wallaby & emu sightings are guaranteed.

What I’ll provide

Food and drinks are available for purchase at our final stop at the coastal town of Torquay, so you can have dinner by the beach on the famous esplanade full of restaurants & bars.
Entrance fee
Entry admission tickets to the Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre are inclusive per person on my experience.
Train and Car
All guests are required to make their own way to the meeting location at the entrance of Waurn Ponds Train Station (Sugargum Drive, Waurn Ponds). I recommend catching the train from Southern Cross Station (Melbourne) to Waurn Ponds Station for only $20.00 AUD roundtrip (all day / 7 days per week).
A downloadable link of all photos taken during my Airbnb Experience is provided for you inclusive in your booking. Follow my Instagram @kangaroojacktours to see photos and videos of guests from my previous tours.

What to bring

* Peak Season: During the months of October to April, please remember to be sun smart and wear a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses (casual attire eg: shorts, t-shirt and a light sweater) as it can get chilly in the evening.
* Off Peak Season: During the months of May to September, please remember to dress warm (casual attire eg: jeans/long pants, sweater and jacket) as the weather is much cooler and unpredictable this time of year in Victoria.
