If you are new, I'll help you create a personalized stand-up comedy set. If you book on the last Saturday of the month you'll get to perform your new comedy set on stage before a live audience at The Stevie Mack Show, my monthly talent showcase .
Learn the difference between comic and comedian, performance vs material and the three-part joke structure in various styles of humor.
I’ll share industry secrets, insider Hollywood tips, and writing techniques as we build your own comedy routine and stage presence.
If you've been performing comedy for a while I'll help you add some flavor to your set and punch up your old routine to give it that much needed boost.

Stevie Mack has appeared in over 50 commercials, movies and TV shows. He headlines at major Hollywood comedy clubs and his critically acclaimed one-man show ran at the Hollywood Improv for two years. He studied improv at Groundlings and Upright Citizens Brigade. He was voted top performer by People magazine in the Oscar nominated "Can't Stop the Feeling" music video with Justin Timberlake.
Where you'll be
Outside in the open air, socially distanced and wearing a mask. Arrive an hour or so early to enjoy the monthly art walk where food, folks and fun are in full swing! Drum circles, African dance, live music and more. Leimert Park Village is the center of African American art and culture in Los Angeles. This neighborhood is home to many theaters, performance spaces, galleries, and shops. I've been producing comedy shows here since 1992.

Stevie was a wonderful host, and mentor & I'm really thankful that I got this firsthand experience into the process of creating comedy. I witnessed the work of very talented comedians and that made me very apprehensive about getting on stage, but Stevie somehow coaxed me onto it in a brilliant manner! It helped me step out of my own performance anxiety, and somehow inject humor into a dating experience, I was heartbroken about for very long time. It's just priceless I realized---what comedy can do for you.
