What you'll do

If you don't see your date available let us know to check if we can host you.

We'll visit a coffee plantation in Guatapé, where we learn from local farmers everything about the coffee process, from sowing the seed to drinking a cup of coffee, there you can pick up the coffee and being for a while a coffee farmer.

As we are in Guatapé, we have to go to the rock
We continue heading to the boulder, get ready to climb more than 705 steps to reach the top, that adorns the landscape of eastern Antioquia and enjoy a breathtaking 360 degrees view from the dam and surrounding areas to capture unforgettable pictures.

Then we go to Guatapé, where we enjoy lunch before the stroll through the most important landmarks of a town full of color, friendly people and corners with fascinating stories that I'm going to share with you, how the tradition of "zócalos" (house facades painted) started and why is important for the inhabitants; if you are a chocolate lover, there's a shop waiting for you, also you will have time to buy handicraft from the local stores.

This experience is full day
lunch is own expense
Entrance to the rock is not included

We are Sara and Oscar, we are tourguides in Medellín four years ago, a lot of people just know about Medellin because of its dark past with the cartels and drugs, we love to show the real city, the city that is full of people looking forward and in constant evolution, that's how we crossed from the bad past to an exceptional destination for tourists.
and is not just the city, the surroundings areas near to Medellín offer amazing experiences for our visitors

If you are looking for a tour to Guatape, do it with Oscar!! He is so easy to talk to, and it really felt like exploring the city with a friend. I went with my boyfriend who speaks fluent Spanish, to which Oscar wonderfully bounced back and forth with the languages. It lent the experience a completely well-rounded perspective :)

Such a wonderful experience! Oscar picked me up from my hotel which saved me the stress of figuring out a meet up point. He personalized the tour based on my diet and we tasted local, exotic (to me as an American) fruits. It was so cool! Visiting the farm was a unique experience and I loved learning about coffee. The dogs were so cute and I purchased some coffee to take back with me. Guatape was beautiful. Got in some stellar exercise, purchased souvenirs, and got some awesome IG moments. The perfect voyage.

Absolutely fantastic! A very unique experience to visit a “El Peñol” to taste various fruits from sweet to bitter. Coffee farm to experience from planting to drinking. Very educational for the timeline from seed to table. La Piedra, be ready to get your steps in! Very much worth the effort the view is on of a kind. The town of Guatape is beautiful and a hidden gem for travelers. Oscar did a perfect job as a guide and host. The tour was in English and Spanish explaining the past, immediate, and possible future of all locations visited. If you are looking for a great one day experience this is a must!!!

Oscar was an amazing tour guide. It felt like we were visiting an old friend who loved to show off their city. He’s so friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to get along with! We had a great time. We stopped at a market on the way out to Guatape and had the most amazing fruit I’ve ever tried. Oscar explained each one as we tasted about 8 or 9 fruits We then drove out to the coffee farm which was a gorgeous scenic drive. The farm itself was amazing. We got to see the whole process and spend time with the owner/operator. At the end of the process we sampled the most delicious coffee. We ended up buying 14 bags!! We then went to the rock, quite a workout with amazing views!! The lake is incredible. Lastly we walked the adorable town of guatape. So picturesque! Oscar was amazing and we couldn’t have had a better tour guide. Thanks for everything!
