What you'll do
My husband and I have built two sustainable eco homes out of cob and bamboo. We will show you both homes and go into detail about why we chose to build this way, explain the process from start to finish, followed by a brief tutorial on how to mix the cob and apply it so that you learn how to do it. After all this, we will take you on a tour of the 1 hectare farm, showing you the different fruit trees and herbs, along with goals we have for the project. At the end of this experience we will offer some local fruits and hibiscus tea.
I have a MSc in biodiversity, conservation and management but have decided to put my study into practice. I arrived to Costa Rica 8 years ago, and only last year did we buy property and start building. We took a natural building course two years ago and have since built two sustainable eco homes out of cob and bamboo with our own hands. Our goal here is to become a thriving agroforest and permaculture farm. We already have 20 different species of fruits, honey bees, herbs, and some vegetables.
Fresh local in season fruits, hopefully from our own farm.
Hibisus, Tamarind, or Chia Ice tea
