What you'll do
This is a unique art experience in a bush setting which allows visitors to enjoy the Blue Mountains in a new way and to visit an artists studio to see the process of artmaking. We meet at Echo Point Lookout which looks out onto the Three Sisters and the stunning scenery of the Blue Mountains National Park. I will have your totes, sketch pads and materials which you'll use to document the adventure. As we walk through the bush we will also make regular stops to talk about the natural and cultural aspects of the place and to allow you to sketch along the way. During the tour, we will stop in a gorgeous location to have a special snack and take time to use paints and natural pigments to create small studies of found objects and views. Along the way, I will point out my favourite trees and plants and chat about my favourite artists. There will be opportunities to make sketches and take photographs along the way and I will be available to give you guidance and tutorials. At the end of the walk, you will have the opportunity to visit my art studio to see my current work. My goal is for you to walk away from this tour with new knowledge, souvenirs and unique memories.
I have been obsessed with flowers and plants since I was a child. I create immersive experiences through art and make plant-based and plant-inspired artworks all around the world. I have a unique way of looking at nature and would like to guide visitors in the outdoors in a new way by sharing my knowledge of the local plants and their significance to the Blue Mountains. I work as an artist, photographer, florist, interior designer and teacher between Australia and Belgium and create large-scale murals for streetscapes and interiors, and flower installations for events, pop-ups and fashion shows. In the past, I have created works for Studio Enti, The Lifestyle Edit, The Bondi Beach Seawall, Destination Queenstown, The Cool Hunter, MBFWA, Revlon, James Estate Wines, The Galeries, Art Month and Woollahra Council.
