What you'll do

After a coffee/tea, we will begin seeing the different steps before spinning and the most important tips for preparing the wool. Then, you will discover your spinning-wheel (1/pers), its different parts and spinning system. You will practice the basis of spinning and plying the thread with home prepared wool. When plyed, you will make a skein and finish it, then create your ball to bring back home! Of course, drinks and biscuits will be on disposal, for a break on the terrace. You will be 3 persons maximum and have the best conditions to focus on your learning!

Learn more about Marie Claude

Marie Claude

I learnt the technics of whool in Australia and New-Zeland : cleaning, carding, spinning, weaving ad felting. Today, I produce my own 100 % wool threads, from sheeps and alpacas from Gorges of Aveyron. Since the middle-age, wool fabric production was very important in the economy of St Antonin Noble Val: wool fabric was famous for its quality and exported all over Europe. Keen on teaching and transmitting knowledges, I'll be delighted to help you in your first steps in the wonderful world of wool !
