What you'll do
Please gather in front of Hirosaki Municipal Tourist Center which is in Otemon. I will explain the history of Hirosaki castle and the history of cherry trees and apples, which is said to be the best of Japan. Then, we will walk through the Ohashi bridge on foot and visit Hirosaki Castle information museum which was built last year. Hirosaki Castle information museum is developed as a facility to present the history of the Hirosaki Castle and the Tsugaru family, and to present the latest information of the repairs and the sightseeing information around the park. In the exhibition area which becomes the point of view, we can see "the castle and the castle bottom map" , "the history of the Tsugaru clan residence", "the history of Hirosaki castle’s fortification”, ”the transition of Hirosaki castle” and “Hirosaki castle news” by the digital screen of the touch panel method. On the walls of the rest space, images such as cherry blossoms in the park, CG images of horse training and brigade queue are projected on the east and west windshields which stretched special films, respectively. After that, we enter Honmaru, the center of the castle.I will explain the origin of the Shimono Bridge, (a 2.5 meter square stone that is similar in shape to the shell of a turtle) which is a turtle stone(the shape was elegant like a crane and was named for the moral)and crane pine. You can search for that by yourself. Then, we will go into the triple guardian. From Honmaru we can look at Tsugaru 's Buddhist Iwaki Mountain (also known as Tsugaru Fuji).At the same time I will introduce the literary people who were born from the Tsugaru region. And then, you can have a rest in Butokuden. After that, we will get out of Hirosaki Park from east gate and move to Hotel New Castle along the moat on foot for 8 minutes. At the Konohana which is the restaurant of the Hotel New Castle you can enjoy the all-you-can-drink and Tsugaru local cuisine (1 hour 30 minutes)that you cannot eat unless you are here.

Hirosaki City has a long history as a castle town over 400 years, and you can see Iwaki Mountain from the Hirosaki Park , which is a symbol of Hirosaki City. It is also famous in Japan of apple and Cherry Blossoms. Starting from Hirosaki Municipal Tourist Center, you can enjoy walking in the Hirosaki Park with a history of more than 400 years. After that, while walking around the outer moat, we stroll around the old town, and then move to Tsugaruhan Neputa Mura. You can listen to Tsugaru Shamisen, experience taiko drums and spin tops. Finally, in the hotel near the park, you can enjoy the local cuisine and alcohol of Tsugaru region completely.
