I am a self trained chef, baker, butcher and cheesemaker. I created FieldStudy, a rogue cooking school as a way to celebrate my many relationships and loves in the food-world with my best chef and foodie friends in this illustrious City of great Pacific North West cuisine.

What we’ll do

1. Discussion on sour dough bread baking. 2. Feeding the starter. 3. Make the dough 4. Discussion on rising time and instructions for baking times. 5. Demonstration of bread loaf shaping and pan preparations. 6. Send students home with a bread to bake.

This is a gluten rich environment. I regret that I cannot entertain any sensitivities to particular strains of wheat or grain.

What I’ll provide

Snacks
We will make toast for all to enjoy with a selection of my home made fruit jams and copious ammounts of butter.

A big bowl to carry their rising bread home in.

This sour dough bread baking class will be hosted by the Vivienne cafe, in the historic Hollywood district.

Cancellation policy

Any experience can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase, or at least 7 days before the experience starts.

Communication policy

Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside the Airbnb website or app.

Guest requirements

Up to 10 guests ages 10 and up can attend.

Government ID

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.
