What you'll do

We’ll start the experience at the Railyard where you will get your bikes, water, and helmets, and set out to explore paved Santa Fe bike trails like a local, discovering noteworthy gems and neighborhoods off the beaten path. After ~9 miles total we will end back in the Railyard where you can grab a bite (or drink!) just in time for lunch. Along the way, I will show you hidden cafes, art spots, neighborhoods and restaurants most people miss. We’ll make our way to the paved section of the Rail Trail. 4 scenic southwestern miles later we will make a tamale pit stop at Posas Restaurant, a local favorite. Here you will need to decide the all important New Mexican question: Red, Green, or Christmas? Of course we are talking about chile :) Near the end of the ride back we’ll relax with a cup of tea (or coffee) in the Baca District at the trendy Opuntia “a tea house in a glasshouse.”

Joseph

I'm a cyclist enthusiast and expert. I've been connecting with people via cycling most of my life. My credentials include leading a coast-to-coast bicycle tour from Virginia to San Francisco, racing most types of bicycles, and working in the industry for over 14 years! I've taught boys scouts and Jr. high bike clubs bicycle safety and etiquette. Working in a bicycle shop involves not only bike-fitting to ensure proper comfort and sizing, but also honing the rider's interests and abilities. I love bringing people into the sport and showing them local trails to fit their needs.
