Hi, I am Mike and I will be hosting this experience. I am a photographer/artist/lecturer. Initially I started teaching photography and Photoshop to disadvantaged groups in the community. I then studied photography at university and continued with teacher qualification and recently an assessor certification. I am still delivering evening and weekend classes to adult learner groups. In my photography I engage in traditional and digital techniques. I love cyanotype and darkroom prints, experimentation with pinhole cameras, caffenol processing of film and shooting with vintage lenses.
First round of drinks at the Wild Man pub is on me.
Taxi service brings you back into Ipswich
Each participant will receive a small handout booklet and a manual exposure calculator. A nifty little tool to keep.

From the train station we get down to the river close to the malting. Following the footpath we pass the Alderman canal nature reserve. Near the Mermaid pub we get onto an asphalted foot path next to the river towards Sproughton industrial estate.
