What you'll do

Your journey into the world of ethical fashion starts here! You'll be taking a behind-the-scenes look into the rapidly growing global slow fashion revolution at our state of the art maker space, Me.reka, located in the booming creative hub of Publika in KL. In this experience, we will share with you all the need-to-knows about ethical fashion which we have learnt through our years in this space. Blended with the personal story of our "why" and journey as a brand, this is the perfect experience for any fashion enthusiast, aspiring entrepreneur or curious traveller. The first hour of our time together will be conducted by our small (but mighty) team of rag-tag slow fashion revolutionists. The remainder of the experience will be a hands-on workshop conducted by our two master tailors, Ashfaq and Sultan, who will tutor you on how to put together your own slow fashion piece (no prior craft experience required) in the form of an upcycled banner pouch. As seasoned craftsmen having travelled from their home countries of Pakistan, tap on their decades of life experience and hear their stories for yourself how the good, bad and ugly of the fashion industry has impacted them over the yea

Ambika

Ambika

My name is Ambika and I'm one of the partners of Biji-biji Ethical Fashion, an award winning slow fashion brand in Malaysia. I've been in this space for the past 5 years and together with the rest of our fun-loving (but not any less professional) team, we can't wait to show you the ins-and-outs of sustainable fashion and how YOU can make a difference through what you choose wear. Co-hosted with Hannah (our then-intern turned production manager) and our master tailors, Sultan and Ashfaq, expert makers hailing from Pakistan in search for better livelihoods for their families back home.
