What you'll do

Let me take you on a unique visit of the Louvre after hours, when the museum is closed to everyone but us. This is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity made possible thanks to the partnership between the Louvre and Airbnb for the 30th anniversary of the Pyramid (www.airbnb.com/louvre). In the quiet stillness of this grandiose museum, empty except for us, I will share stories from the past and the present of the Louvre’s most iconic masterpieces. On this special day, we will be the only people other than the Louvre’s staff who will be able to access the halls. We will meet in front of the Louvre Pyramid and walk the empty rooms of the palace together, spend time on our own in front of the Mona Lisa, visit the Venus de Milo undisturbed and much more. I will share with you my favorite artworks from years spent strolling through the Louvre. Lesser-known artwork won’t be left out, and I will draw your attention to some chefs-d’oeuvre that are some of the Louvre’s best kept secrets. Expect some fun facts and stories you’ve never heard before! You will leave the museum with incredible memories and pictures that will make all your friends jealous! PLEASE NOTE: Morning visits will be in French and afternoon ones in English

Jacques

I am a Parisian for whom museums have always been my second home. As a former student from Ecole du Louvre, I have guided diplomats, celebrities and international visitors through the Louvre for years. From the original tour to my quirkiest one, I have seen the Louvre through many angles. Today, I work on cultural access, designing unique visits for exceptional visitors - including you! I regularly visit museums, exhibits and galleries for my job and my own pleasure. And after years of visiting the Louvre, I still find amusement or new secrets on each visit that I would love to share with you.
