What you'll do

Arrive at the Village in the morning and start your tour by walking to the local river and learn about the importance of rivers in the Zulu culture where originally most activities like fetching of drinking/cooking water, laundry and love proposals are done. You will also get an opportunity of practicing carrying a 20 litre bucket of water to the village. Then walk to the Shembe Temple (authentic religious temple) and learn about this local religion and its church members. Proceed to a local traditional herbalist (iNyanga) or a spiritual healer (iSangoma) and hear from the horses mouth as to how one gets to this calling. Visit a family where you will have a mouth-watering traditional buffet lunch and have an opportunity of tasting 'umqombothi' (traditional Zulu beer). Locals will entertain you while having lunch and you will enjoy traditional music and Zulu dancing. Your tour ends.
