What you'll do

We will meet at the Campo del Sole a beautiful open-air museum where we would share our intention for the day. We will then travel by boat of one of the few remaining residents of this enchanted island. Isola Maggiore (the big island), has had periods in history in which it sustained a local community of more then 600 people, with a remains of a windmill, three churches, a Franciscan monastery, and a castle as evidence of the active community and fine weaving and fishing industry it hosted in the past. Walking on the island you will be invited to practice mindfulness, to become more aware to the present moment feel the resonance, and connectivity to nature and people of the island. Following the footsteps of St. Francis, who has famously visited the island to meditate, we will take the time to wander and connect with the beauty of the place. Before taking the boat back to Campo del Sole for a guided exercise, a self-reflective process of accessing our inner wisdom and self-knowledge, to find concrete actions next steps before returning to land.

Where you'll be

Campo del Sole is an open air museum in a place with fascinating stories and statues situated at the coast of the Trasimeno Lake. A place from which we would take a boat to cross the short distance to Isola Maggiore. Isola Maggiore is a true gem, St Francis of Assisi lived here as an hermit and the church built on the top of it is in the middle of the the famous St. Micheal line. A place with many stories and hidden corners to discover.
