What you'll do

Our activity is more of a LEARN & DINE experience. In our quaint and simple home, mum and I will host guests where they not only get to eat an elaborate, fresh& homecooked SouthIndian meal but also get to see how they are prepared and also involve in cooking an item or two. Once they arrive, we will serve them One welcome drink and 2 snacks (both veg or 1veg & 1 nonveg). We will then proceed to making some of the items. Guests can watch the detailed procedure of making 1 Snack/Salad, 1maincourse( special rice or gravy) and 1 dessert. They can not only watch but also involve themselves in the process of preparation,like the mis-en-place of the dish, etc which not only helps them get familiar with an Indian kitchen, but also native kitchen equipments, ingredients like vegs, spices, grains, flour, etc. Also, in an ALL-HANDS-IN activity, guests can individually choose to prepare one type of Indian bread like Puri, Akki Rotti (Rice), Ragi Rotti(Millet) or Chapatis, where they can do the prep, flattening them out and deep/shallow/pan fry them. They can also learn the art of making an southindian Dosa (battered thin crispy crepe). We finish with a full 6 course meal served by us!

Hello! We are a dynamic daughter-mother duo, Shobha & Sujatha Sridhar. We are native Bangaloreans and highly passionate about food, culture & people. I(Shobha) am a graduate of Bachelors in catering and also have 4years of experience in food&bev industry. Mum is a typical Indian homemaker and an expert in authentic South Indian cuisine including a variety of Vegetarian & Non-Vegetarian dishes and has an experience of over 25years. Our feast also includes traditional and signature sweets of the South. We look forward to hosting a fun, healthy, homely, delectable experience to our guests! :)
