What you'll do

1). Meet at the State Department store where you will enjoy a tasty coffee to start off your day. 2). Go to the Gandantegchinlen Monastery, which is a Mongolian Buddhist monastery that has been restored and revitalized since 1990. The Tibetan name translates to the "Great Place of Complete Joy". 3). Visit Sukhbaatar Square also known as Chinggis Square, which is a large colonnade monument to Genghis Khan located in front of the Government Palace. The center of the square features an equestrian statue of Damdin Sükhbaatar, one of the leaders of Mongolia's 1921 revolution. 4). Tour the Bogd Khan Palace museum, which is one of the oldest museums. It is also considered as one of the museums with the biggest collections in Mongolia. The palace is the only one left from originally four residences of the Bogd Khan and it’ll give tourists an opportunity to learn more about the culture. 5). Have a tasty Mongolian dish for lunch. 6). Go shopping at luxurious cashmere stores. 7). Go see the Zaisan Memorial, which is a memorial that honors allied Mongolian and Soviet soldiers killed in World War II. This location also gives a phenomenal overview of the entire city.
