What you'll do
We will make udon noodles and tempura together in a nice kitchen at my house. I live in a small seaside town called Oiso near Odawara in Kanagawa prefecture. I will pick you up at Ninomiya station on the JR Tokaido line. It takes only 5 minutes from Ninomiya station to my house. When you arrive at my house, I will show you my kitchen and we will move on to cooking. First of all, we will make handmade udon noodles from flour. It will be a great experience for you. We will make soup for udon with all natural ingredients. If you are vegan or vegetarian, we can make vegan soup without fish for udon. I will explain the Japanese ingredients for the soup and also tell you how to use ingredients available in your own country. We will also make tempura with seasonal vegetables and prawns. I will teach you some techniques to make it crispy. Afterwards, we will eat the food together.
I am a Japanese woman who loves cooking and meeting people. I love Japanese culture and I like to share it with foreign friends. Since I have a British husband, I have been making Japanese cuisine for foreign friends and family members for many years and all of them love my cuisine. Udon is one of very popular dishes I make. I use all natural ingredients for the soup and noodles. I will teach you various special techniques to make delicious udon and tempura.

Where you'll be
My house is in a nice residential area in a seaside town called Oiso near Odawara in Kanagawa prefecture. If you are in Hakone or Odawara, it's easy to come. It takes about 5 minutes from our meeting point to my house. There are lots of flowers in my front garden and the kitchen is big enough for 8 people to cook.
