What you'll do
First of all, we will visit the Catequilla mountain where we have a great view of the whole sector and where the Ecuador line passes exactly, it was an astronomical observatory site of ancestor peoples. Then we will visit the viewpoint of Pululahua, where we will walk down a path for about 45 minutes until we reach the crater of the volcano where there are people living there. Later we will go up the same path for approximately 1 hour until we reach the crater's viewpoint again. In that place you can buy crafts.
My name is Oscar, I am a native of the parish of San Antonio de Pichincha, where Mitad del Mundo is located, the most turisticand visited place in Ecuador. All my life I have spent in this place and I love spending my free time hiking, camping, knowing different places of my town, its surroundings and of all my country. I like to visit the crater of the Pululahua volcano whether it's trekking, biking or camping inside the crater telling traditional stories and legends of my people, stories and anecdotes that have been passed down from generation to generation in my native San Antonio family.
Transport by private car to Pululahua, Catequilla and return.
