What you'll do

Guests will be welcomed to our organic, 34-acre vineyard by a member of the winemaking team who will introduce you to the estates renowned hand-crafted wines. Spend around 1-1.5 hours enjoying wine with selected paired cheeses while learning about the geology and "terroir" that encompass the estate and Santa Barbara County's unique viticulture. This will all take place outdoors nestled within the vines to embrace the connection between wine and the land it comes from. Definitely not your typical tasting room experience.

Learn more about Michael

Michael

I am the assistant winemaker at a family-run organic vineyard that was planted in 1999. We produce world class estate wines such as Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, Viognier and Malvasia Bianca. The head winemaker, Michael Larner, and myself are both geologists who turned our passion for both rocks and wine into a career. After graduating from UC Davis with a degree in Viticulture and Oenology, Michael spent time making wine with Antinori in Italy, and E. Guigal in France. We both believe education is key, and enjoy sharing our passion. When not working on the vineyard, Michael teaches winemaking courses at the local community college.
