What you'll do

The setting is a lovely 17thC cottage and garden and the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming with 1930's jazz music, tea in vintage cups and home made cakes and biscuits to share. The Sewing Bee is a wonderful way for friends and family to come togther to share and enjoy craft. This special experience is all about creating a unique and personalised gift for the bride-to-be which can be presented to her at the end of the session. All levels can enjoy this guided multi media textile art session in which you can sew, use applique, hand paint or a number of textile collage techniques. Working from our art hamper full of all of the textiles, materials and supplies that you will need. Pre-prepared colour guides and inspirational mood boards will help you to choose the syle and colour of your contribution. The work of each individual will be put together and included in a gift made by the group for the bride on the day. Set in a relaxed atmosphere and environment for a family or group of friends with lots of guidence from a professional team. Throughout the session a delicious selection of home baked biscuits, cakes tea in vintage cups and home made cordials will be served.

I am a designer, textile artist and illustrator with over 25 years experience in the Creative industry. I have been a Creative Director, an Executive Director a Non Executive Director in a number of leading design agencies and a marketing and design consultant. Winning a number of top design awards and working for leading brands and organisations nationally and internationally. I am an Airbnb host and have a holiday cottage by the sea in Staithes and cottage in the city, close to Leeds, where is run creative workshops and classes. Where you'll be

The setting is a pretty 17thC cottage and garden close to the city of Leeds. The workshop will take place inside the cottage by the woodburner, in the garden design studio and outside in the garden.
