I have over two decades of jewelry making expertise having made, sold, or gifted hundreds, if not thousands, of items in that period of time. I worked the Renaissance Fairs and Scottish Festivals throughout the Southeast United States as a jewelry maker and vendor. I was offered a teaching position at a local college here in San Antonio, but prefer to teach smaller groups in this hands-on class.
Where you'll be
This experience will take place in the comfortable surroundings of my private studio/workroom in my home.

What an awesome thing to do while visiting San Antonio for the first time. I brought a dress that I wanted jewelry to go with and Sarina helped me with tips on complimentary colors. Good luck taking a dress to any store and finding something that matches perfectly, and for less than 30 bucks! Not only do you get jewelry that is worth the money alone, but a skill to carry with you the rest of your life....whether you choose to use it is up to you :). She has many beads to share (you can also bring your own something special if you like) and also offers jewelry she has personally made for purchase after your session and I can honestly say, had it not been for my extemely tight budget on my trip, I would have purchased several items. I did this solo and when I move here in the Spring, I plan to not only come back solo again but also plan a mommy/daughters date with my 9 and 12 year olds. Absolute phenomenal deal and experience.

We had a really great time with Sabrina! My sister made an anklet and matching earrings for her daughter that turned out really cute. Sabrina helped me design and make a custom necklace for a friend based on her life experiences and there is no way I could have purchased something like that. I will feel proud to give it to her. I felt creative and that I was truly learning a new skill that I could use again. Sabrina was a very welcoming host and attentive to our needs. She was warm and friendly and was clearly well versed in what she was teaching us about jewelry making. I will definitely be back!

I highly recommend this experience. We (my husband and I) both made jewelry. I made a set of unakite and cultured pearl earrings and he wrapped a small stone in copper wire to make a pendant. I could not have bought the earrings I made for the price. That’s great and I look forward to going back and making the matching necklace. I really learned from Sabrina. She taught both of us vital techniques to create our own pieces. I wouldn’t have thought I could have made earrings that look good enough for me to wear, much less be proud to tell people I made them! I made an appointment to go again already! Sabrina and her husband are kind, culturally aware and respectful. I like that Sabrina allowed us to steer the class in a direction that was best for us. She has project ideas in mind and let us pick from several options. She could probably guide a class to anyone’s needs, young, older or differently abled. I would just message her ahead of time. She was quick in responding to me. She was knowledgeable on a wide variety of jewelry techniques and a patient, encouraging teacher. I truly felt like she thought I was making a masterpiece because of how many time she told me I was doing a great job. Her joy and excitement for our jewelry projects spread from her to us. We were excited already and her positive response and attitude made the experience 10x better! Thanks to my wonderful teacher and we look forward to seeing you again.
