What you'll do

For me is a privileged to guide visitors in this experience thru yoga, meditation and swimming to remember our inner divine nature surrounded by the beauty of this hidden sanctuary. We will meet at a famous place in Guavate, Cayey (30 min from San Juan) frequented mostly by locals, known for its delicious roasted pork where you can get food to go. Then we will drive about 25 minutes to the swimming hole. Once we arrive we will hike for about 15 minutes from the main road thru the beautiful enchanted forest natural trail to get to the pond. Once there, we can start with a 30-45 minutes yoga and then you can have up to one hour to swim and enjoy the pond at your leisure.

Abadha

I have been in the wellness industry for over 20 years. As a certified yoga instructor, among other arts, I have been teaching yoga in several yoga studios for a couple of decades. Recently, I have distinguished myself by taking my practice to natural surroundings to explore the beauty within and around us creating memorable experiences. People simply love it. I was born in the mountainous town of Cayey, Puerto Rico where I learned to love nature since my early childhood. I have walked many forests in my island and fell in love with the majesty of a hidden natural swimming hole and its bluish hues in a Natural Reserve Forest. This space was a sanctuary of purification of our Taíno Indians ancestors. THIS unique place is what I would like to share with adventurous travellers who like natural fresh water swimming pools.

Where you'll be

We will meet at El Mojito restaurant in Cayey, a family owned restaurant. Cayey is my hometown and it means ‘The Place of the Waters’ in Taíno language. Then we will drive to the unique swimming hole in the Carite Forest. Leave the car and hike to the pond. The path borders a small river and you will see wild forest flowers, native trees, bamboo trees, birds, etc.
