2.5 hours
Includes drinks, equipment
Up to 10 people
Hosted in English

What you'll do

- Gin to drink throughout
- Tasting and getting to know the 30+ botanicals
- Create your own recipe
- Make your gin using cold compound method
- Zero waste; the only waste produced is composted

We kick things off with a gin tasting; guests have three gins to try and can help themselves to more throughout the experience. I have made these gins using the same method that guests will be using, and we will discuss the flavours and ingredients. We use Bermondsey Indian Tonic Syrup for a solvent free, natural tonic.

Guests will then have time to get to know the different botanicals they can use, smelling them to start to get an idea of the gin they'd like to create.
Guests will then start to create their recipe and once ready they will start weighing out the botanicals to create their gin. We use the cold compound method with our unique 1 hour formula. When guests have measured out all their botanicals, we will leave them to steep in plain grain alcohol for one hour.

During this time I will then give some of the rich and unique history of gin, and also explain the two methods to produce gin. Guests will then name their gin, and write tasting notes.

Guests will take home their 500ml of gin in a glass bottle, along with their recipe, three provided recipes, botanical notes card and history of gin timeline.

I am a textile and graphic designer by day, but decided to turn my creativity to gin making and have been studying the history of gin and gin production for the past year. I find it very exciting experimenting with different botanicals to create a variety of unique gins and I love being able to give my guests the opportunity to try their hand at gin making. I have now made gin with over 40 guests.
Having worked with drinks specialists, I have developed a unique formula for a one hour cold compound production, meaning that the gin is ready to go at the end of the session.

I have plenty of experience hosting experiences, having previously run screen printing workshops, as well as fashion sewing workshops.
