What you'll do

GETTING THERE: We will pick you up at the ferry station in Cacilhas and take you for a relaxed walk on the riverside to explore the street art on Cais to Ginjal, before getting to the panoramic elevator at Boca do Vento. There, you can enjoy bird-eye views of Lisbon. Before heading to the NAVE, we will stop shortly at Casa da Cerca contemporary art centre. LET'S START: After welcoming you with a fresh beverage and a slice of home-made cake, we will start our workshop: Ceramic Mosaic Sardine Workshop. Chira, our PhD Graduate at the Faculdade de Belas-Artes of Lisbon, is a local ceramic artist and will guide you teach you the techniques and the details to make your own creation. Using bits & bites of colorful tiles you will make your unique Portuguese sardine souvenir using the millennial art of the mosaic.

Stella

I am the co-founder of the NAVE - Núcleo de Artes, Vivências e Expressões, in Almada, Lisbon South Bay. After living in Asia and South America for over ten years, I decided to go back to Europe and open a cultural centre where I could share with others the arts and experiences that I got to know in my travels. After working in the international event and creative industry for a decade, I decided to use my skills to creative meaningful experiences for my community. As passionate traveller, I know that the best way to get to know a culture is through its people. The workshops that we design aim to pass knowledge through practical experience from locals to visitors. The NAVE counts on a great team of professional designers, photographers, plastic art artists, painters, musicians, composers, language teachers, dancers, choreographers, actor

The NAVE is located in a old detached house, with wooden floors, modern furniture and huge windows that let the sunlight in. Right in front of us you can find Casa da Cerca, on of the most iconic contemporary art centers in the area with a botanical garden dedicated to plants used in plastic art
