What you'll do
Discover the ultimate Walking Tour of New Zealands capital city, Wellington, and experience the unique food and drink explosion that has made Wellington the coolest little capital in the world. This is one of the most interesting and memorable food tours where you will have the opportunity to experience an amazing adventure around Wellington, explore the hidden gems and eat and drink the magic of local taste sensations. You will also see some of the unique sights and learn about the history of this stunning New Zealand capital, Wellington, and why it has grown into the amazing city that it is.
I came from Portugal via the Merchant Navy to settle in Wellington New Zealand for 6 years, then moved to Sydney Australia where I was in the hospitality industry for the next 34 years, starting in my own coffee shop, then managing restaurants and delis and selling small goods (ham, cheese and salami etc ). I owned a Scandinavian food inporting business and then ran my own food distribution company for 18 years which I sold in 2014 to then move back to Wellington. I set up the Food and Spice Odyssey food and cocktail tours which, with the local knowledge and passion I have gained of Wellington’s unique food & drink scene and combined that with the city’s history, is a great way to pass on the experience about what the coolest little capital has to offer to our visitors.
