What you'll do

We shall take an easy and relaxing walk along the Brisbane River in Teneriffe to learn about the history of the area and to understand its historical significance as a centre for the wool trade and as a former naval base during WW2. We shall also discover how the Urban Renewal programme meant Teneriffe became one of Brisbane's most livable suburbs. But don't take my word for it; come and see for yourself.
Other things to note
Don't forget your camera; and your inquisitive mind.

I have lived in Brisbane for over 20 years and was professionally involved in the project to regenerate Teneriffe. I have lived in a woolstore apartment for 15 years and regularly use the RiverWalk. I have developed an interest in the history of Teneriffe and will share with you some of the stories of the area.

Ben’s knowledge of the Tenerife Wool stores was impressive and informative. It was fascinating to see the finer architectural details of the buildings and learn about the history of Tenerife, the impact of wool industry and the people involved. Highly recommended.
