What you'll do

A morning hike to stunning city views, in a dog friendly park with our rescue dogs!

We will enjoy a nice walk up hiking trails to the top of Runyon Canyon. Fantastic city views, and the perfect view of the Hollywood Sign!

As you climb your way up the hill with your new pals in tow, you’ll be exercising and socializing the dogs, and letting locals know they’re up for adoption. You’ll also become a puppy paparazzi and take their photos in front of panoramic backdrops—you can even pose with them with the famous Hollywood sign behind you. Your pictures will then be used to generate interest in the rescue organization, attract potential adopters, and bring in donations that will help further care for and foster the dogs until they find their forever homes.

COVID Safety: A mask is required. We have hand sanitizer, though you should also bring your own.

Make it a morning "workout", with a healthy hike up Runyon Canyon while helping dogs, then go get a fresh juice and start your day!

Make it a fun date, and go bop around Hollywood (walking distance from the park) afterward!

Late riser? Join us on Sunday when we start at 10am, and then go get a fab late-breakfast at The Griddle on Sunset!

So many ways to make it a fun part of your day :-)
Other things to note
We will be in direct sun, so bring sunscreen and other protective wear. There are no bathrooms in Runyon Canyon. Your friendly dog is welcome to join us! Street parking is very difficult.

We had our hike today with Candy and her sweet, sweet pups Honey, Ernie, Scotty and Joey. We could not think of a better way to have spent our afternoon. It was a great workout, stunning views and amazing company (human and canine.) Thank you so much for making this experience available to us and for all that you do for the rescue community!

Very friendly with cute dogs! It was only the three of us on the hike so we were able to chat with candi quite a bit. Ryan was a pleasure to communicate with as well.

Honestly this was so much fun, the dogs were all very well behaved and it was a great hike location. The volunteers gave us the backstory of each dog and we all got to switch dogs and talk to other future/current dog owners. It’s a must do !

A must experience if you’re in the LA area! Everything was exactly as stated & it was really nice to help out the dogs. Every shelter should do something like this! Ryan & Sam were great guides & gave plenty of time for treats & water breaks. Great conversation and company too! Would love to join again.
