About your host

I was born and raised here in Barcelona. I love my city, with all its history and contradictions. I've worked as a guide in such places as the Museum of Modernism, the Montjuïc Cemetery, and the old Sant Pau Hospital—a jewel of modernism in Barcelona. I like to think outside the box and created this route because I know how much Barcelona has to offer beyond the main tourist circuit.

What we’ll do

Barcelona stretches between the Mediterranean Sea and Collserola—a mountain range with incredible lookouts over the city. We'll climb some of the hills around which the city grew and discover its history from a bird's-eye view. Along our route, we'll pass through some of Barcelona's quietest neighborhoods, see bourgeois summer houses from the 19th century, discover a Romanesque hermitage, and…

The route is not difficult, but it will be hilly. You'll need comfortable sneakers, sunscreen, and enough water for a long walk.

Where you'll be

We'll meet at Guinardó / Hospital de Sant Pau metro station, and from there we'll enter Park of the Three Hills to enjoy some stunning views over the city.
