About your host

I was raised in very traditional environment at historical place, Kamakura. I’ve started Japanese tea ceremony since 5 years old because my mother is a professor of tea ceremony. Also I have experience with Japanese calligraphy, Koto and Shamisen(traditional instruments), Japanese flower arrangement. Also Kamakura where have history of Samurai, many temples and shrines, surrounded by the mountains…

What we’ll do

We’ll meet at front of building of my tea room. You can wear Yukata (casual kimono for summer season) and then eat some Japanese sweets and drink green tea. Next, go to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine you may go with wear Yukata and walk around, take a picture. At the end get back to tea room to change the clothes.

What else you should know

You don’t have to wear Yukata.

Where you'll be

We’ll drink green tea and show performance of tea ceremony at my Japanese tea room. And then go to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine(3 minutes walk from tea room) I’ll show you nice spot for take a picture when you wear Yukata at inside the shrine.
