What you'll do
My chocolate school is situated in a beautiful, private courtyard setting below our Airbnb accommodation. At each workshop you will be guided through each process with hands on demonstrations before you give it a go yourself. Each chocolate workshop will begin with a talk on tempering and demonstrations on how it is done and why it is so important when working with chocolate. Then you will follow the hands on demonstrations making your own selection of hand made chocolates. You will learn the secrets of the chocolatier and take away recipes. Whilst we are creating our chocolates let me tell you about my life as an event caterer in The House of Lords for 22 years cooking for Royalty and celebrities - and how I employed one of Hollywood's A listers as a waiter for two years when he was a struggling actor!! Not suitable for children under 11.

I owned and ran an event catering company for over 20 years. I was honoured to provide party catering to The House of Lords and other famous venues. I cooked for Her Majesty the Queen on more than one occasion including members of the royal family and famous celebrities. One of my signature dishes was a chocolate creation - this led to me start my chocolate school, The Chocolate Tart in 2006. I wanted to share my expertise and passion for the fine art of tempering and working with chocolate through teaching others. I am a chocolate judge at The Taste of the West Awards and The Academy of Chocolate. My co host and husband Ed is a wine merchant and an expert in matching wines with chocolate and any food!
