About your host

I have been passionate about Scotland my whole life. I have travelled extensively around the country and lived in various regions. Knowledge and understanding of Scottish life, history and culture is something that I am always expanding on and learning. For three years, I successfully managed the busiest whisky bar on the Isle of Skye, which had over 400 Scotch whiskies. Through this, I gained…

What we’ll do

We will meet at the statue of Sir Walter Scott, right in the centre of George Square in the heart of the city centre. You will be able to recognise me as I will be wearing a t-shirt or jumper saying the Single Malt. I will give you a warm Glasgow welcome while taking in some of the fantastic architecture in George Square. We will start our whisky adventure right in George Square at a prominent…

What else you should know

I've purposely not included the price of drinks, as I'm aware not everybody drinks alcohol or likes whisky. This event is inclusive regardless and we can find an alternative. Over 18 only. Require ID.

What I’ll provide

Creative supplies and Camera

What to bring

Identification Essential - Passport, Driving License, Provisional Driving License
Cash or Debit/Credit Card Essential - To purchase drinks at pubs
Waterproof Jacket/Umbrella - Glasgow weather can be quite unpredictable
Adequate Footwear - There will be quite a bit of walking involved
Bottle of Water - Hydration is important
An Open Mind - We can all learn off of each other

Where you'll be

The places I mention in the itinerary are all places that I regularly frequent myself being from Glasgow. I have made an itinerary within the city centre to give ease of access for anyone looking to experience Glasgow city centre from a unique perspective. We will visit three very traditional Scottish pubs along the way, which due to licensing laws in Scotland strictly do not allow under 18's unfortunately.

Things to keep in mind

Cancellation policy

Any experience can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase, or at least 7 days before the experience starts.

Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside the Airbnb website or app.

Guest requirements

Up to 4 guests ages 18 and up can attend. Due to Scottish licensing laws over 18's only. Valid ID required. A laid back, relaxed, informal and enjoyable walk taking in Glasgow city centre, while enjoying a couple of drinks along the way.

Government ID

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.
