What you'll do

Bring your smartphone or DSLR and let's explore Crucecita together! We start at my gallery and we immediately begin exploring the town at a relaxed pace. I will know beforehand what level your photography is, and what you will be shooting with. We will take in the market, Church, and many street scenes, including the must-have shots and the hidden gems showing the life and spirit of Huatulco as only a local can know. During our walk, we will stop frequently to cover easy tips and techniques to improve your photography, to discuss what makes a good photograph, the philosophy of photography (why we photograph), or for you to ask any questions. You will have time to put those tips to work before we start walking again. Everyone receives individual time and learns at their own pace. It's your tour! – so we focus on what you want to see and the topics of photography you want covered, whether you are a beginning hobbyist or advanced shooter. After a 90 minute exploration of Crucecita, you will have experienced the rich life of this authentic Mexican village and built a better foundation of photography that will stay with you forever. And then maybe we'll all go for a drink!

Where you'll be

You'll see the local Church, featuring the largest painting in Mexico of Our Lady of Guadalupe. You'll see the local market, packed with friendly local merchants selling everything from hand-crafted items & jewelry to famous Oaxacan coffee & beach items. And we will explore many of the village streets where we will see Mexican life unfolding before our eyes, all while learning about the town and the fundamentals of composition and camera skills.
