What you'll do

(St. Mary's Glacier)
Join us on a hike up to St. Mary's Glacier all year round (transportation provided from Denver or we can meet at St. Mary's). We will ascend through the stunning Colorado forest and end with a breathtaking panoramic lake view. This is one of our favorite hikes in Colorado (1.5 miles round-trip).

(Beau Jo's Pizza)
Afterward, we will eat lunch at Beau Jo's. The building has been around since 1880 and is one of Colorado's hidden gems. Idaho Springs has a population of 1,717 people and is a gold mining town founded in 1859 during the Gold Rush.

(Indian Hot Springs)
Next, we visit another historic landmark and soak in the natural geothermal cave pools, which will be perfect for our muscles after our hike and is included with the price.

Due to demand of geothermal cave pools the caves sometimes get a little busy but sometimes they are completely empty.

If you want an experience with little risk and a whole lot of reward, this tour is for you. I provide all the equipment, just come properly dressed and get ready to explore all of what colorful Colorado has to offer in one single day.
Other things to note
In order to do this hike:

*Note:
The geothermal caves are gender separated, but if you let us know 2 weeks prior we can reserve a private bathe or outdoor jacuzzi.

I am the founder of www.AdventureColoradoTours.com and am a Colorado native. My family has been here for over 100 years. Nature, hiking, and camping is a major part of my life. I frequently attend services they offer to improve my outdoor skills. I hike 2-3 times a week and camp nearly once a month. Camping and hiking allows me to appreciate nature and observe wildlife. I have camped at countless locations throughout Colorado, with groups, by myself, and with my grandfather, who mentored me and was a camp host and fisherman in the state of Colorado for several decades.

We know all the tips and tricks for safe hiking in all climates, especially for those of you coming from lower altitudes. We will share breathtaking bits of nature discovered over 20 years of experience.

We headed on this adventure with Alli from Adventure Colorado Tours. It was a full day of beautiful scenery, diverse hiking, fantastic local food, and a hot springs experience. They really know how to plan a day well to make you feel like you got to hang like a local. I couldn't have come up with this plan on my own and I appreciated all of Alli's tips and advice along the way. She taught us about history and culture of areas we visited and also had some great practical advice for traveling in Colorado. Alli was relaxed and comfortable to ride in the car with. She held conversations easily with our little group, made sure to plan our bathroom stops, coffee stop, was considerate of how everyone was doing, and made me feel like friend of hers. She really cared about everyone personally having an awesome time. I'd highly recommend you book a tour with her company if you want to fall in love with Colorado like the locals have. It was an unforgettable day.

Had an incredible time with Allie! She made sure we were comfortable the whole time. She was a skilled hiker who could help whenever we needed it and a tremendous host who had lots of information and passion for nature. She also took GREAT photos of us! The hike itself was not too difficult (about 1.5 miles roundtrip) and it had beautiful sights! Pizza was delicious at Beau Jo’s in Idaho Springs, and the hot springs were a fun experience!

I booked this tour on a solo trip to Denver expecting a guided hike up and down. But the experience was so much more. Tyler and Allie led our small group up the trail taking frequent breaks (and much needed at over 11,000ft) along the way to grab some amazing photos of each of us with breathtaking views in the background. Once at the glacier, we learned about the area, the foliage, and took in the view of the clear blue lake that is fed by the melting water. For those more adventurous, you could take extra hikes around the summit or jump into the icy waters from the tip of a massive rock jutting front the side. We had incredible pizza and brews in Idaho Springs and ended our adventure at the hot springs which soothed the muscles and gave us all a 'local' view of this cool little town. And Tyler had one last surprise for each of us before we all departed. All-in-all, a great hike with great folks at an affordable price.

Tyler and Alli were amazing! Everything was organized and planned to perfection! We enjoyed our group and the hike was just right for our experience level. We took plenty of breaks and they took great photos of our family. The geo thermal cave experience was really unique and we are so glad we did it! Lunch and company were amazing. Thank you both again!

Really enjoyed this! The initial part of the hike is steep but the host gives you breaks to catch your breath. Absolutely with it when you get to the glacier!
