What you'll do
We will meet at one of my favorite beaches, Koolina Beach Park and get ready to have some fun in the sun. We’ve got everything covered-a mat, food and drinks, lei making supplies, etc so you don't have to stress. If you’d like to go for a swim before or after, feel free to bring your swim gear! We’ll most likely jump in as well! We’ll be teaching you one of our favorite childhood lessons of haku lei making. We’ll teach you how to prep and a little information about the flowers & the different meanings. We’ll provide 5-10 different flowers for you to choose from! If you have any specific flowers you want to use, feel free to bring some as well. To give you the full Hawaiian experience, we’ll be having a local favorite, the spam musubi which is spam and rice wrapped in seaweed! We’ll also bring some of our favorite Hawaiian made snacks & juices. After lei making, we’ll have a quick photoshoot & send you off with a polaroid picture to remember the fun time we had. We look forward to meeting you! We are willing to make special arrangements for dates that are not listed. Please Message us. Instagram: @createalohahaku
Aloha, I’m Ashley. have been making haku leis since I was a child with my father. We used to pick flowers on Saturday mornings. I used to spend nights helping him prepare flowers and I was the clean up crew. I It has always been a passion of mine to share my knowledge with other people. This is my favorite past time & I’m excited to share it with you! My day job is working in retail, selling handbags! I love meeting new people everyday at work which is another reason I was excited to start this experience. Follow my Hāku lei IG @createalohahaku. We post about life on Oahu— places to eat, cool places to see, things we like to do, etc! Sometimes living here we take it for granted, but when we can share our home with people, we learn to appreciate it so much more.
